tuesday: something to love

Yes, I know that it is Wednesday. I was going to post this yesterday, but I could not find the external hard drive that I put the pictures on I wanted to use. I finally found it late last night, but it was late and I needed to go to sleep. I was just looking back through my something to love posts and realized that most of my recent ones the main subject is flowers. I guess it is just that time of year, and I love flowers greatly. However, I will try next week to get creative and photograph something else. Promise.

These flowers were just so happy that I couldn't resist photographing them. I love happy yellow flowers.

tuesday: something to love

It's spring, but hasn't really felt like it the last couple of days. So here are some spring-y photos for you all. And here's to wishing Spring will come back again in short order. I took these at the Missouri State Capitol building in Jefferson City almost two summers ago in the middle of a trip to Columbia, MO for a friend's college graduation.

tuesday: something to love

It was easy to find things to love this week. It is officially Spring, and what's more it has felt like Spring. There are some who say we will have one more bout of Winter before it is really Spring, but I would have to say I disagree with them. Spring is here, and I'll let tomorrow worry about tomorrow.

I took a flying trip up to see my parents over the weekend. I love their fountain in the middle of the pond in the backyard. Lovely!

Breakfast outside in gorgeous weather. . .yes, please!! Coffee, OJ, Oatmeal, and Greek Yogurt. . .Yum!

The flowers have returned!! Yay! The other day I was experimenting with perspective. . .this is one of the results.

house or home?

Occasionally I see something that I would love to have in my someday house. This was a house I saw in Manhattan Beach that I just fell in love with. I love the flowers spilling all over the house. I love the outdoor sitting area. I love the windows. Just the whole house is lovely. I just love the style of this house.

wishing for spring

I don't like cold...at all. As soon as October hits, my feet and fingers freeze and they don't thaw out until May. The one thing that gets me through the cold, dreary months of fall and winter is the hope that Spring is on the horizon. That after the deadness of winter, there will once more be flowers, and leaves on the trees and new life. That is what I cling to through the cold months. Flower pictures are part of what helps me through those months. They are so happy and lovely and Spring-like.

slow down

I am most at rest in the country. I have distanced myself a lot from my past, so most of my friends don't know that I was a farm girl or don't think of me that way because I'm so far removed from that now. I don't think I want to be a farm girl again, but I wouldn't mind living in the country again.

This past weekend I got to go stay with the grandparents/parents of some of my friends at their home in the country. I have been out to their house before, and I love going out there because it is just so restful and peaceful and the pace is so much slower. They still believe in sitting down and visiting and Sunday afternoon naps. I did take a Sunday afternoon nap, but I also used some of my Sunday afternoon to take some pictures of their place.

baby calves are so cute!!!

This was my favorite shot of the day. :)
Where do you feel most at home?

something good

I love to take pictures of flowers. They are my favorite subjects because they just sit there and look pretty, and I get to shoot as many angles as I want of them. Flowers are just so much fun. :)

I went to my favorite community garden the other day because I had time. These are a few of my shots from that day.
This beautiful butterfly was very cooperative in posing for me. :)

TOMS Wedges...in aqua which matches my entire wardrobe...such a great investment!!

This little flower was just sitting on this bench. I have no idea who put it there, but there it sat.

My blogging music tonight was Ingrid Michaelson's Be Ok album.
Here's a taste:
